Undergraduate Admission
Bentley had a record-breaking year with more than 7,200 applications received for freshman admission. With an acceptance rate of 38% Bentley enrolled a freshman class of approximately 980. Our class represented 34 states and 49 countries. Our international enrollment improved to 11% of the incoming class which demonstrates an increase from our 8-9% in previous years.
Additionally, we have already begun recruit our next freshman class! The Office of Undergraduate Admission has embarked on a new recruitment season visiting 12 countries in 9 short weeks. In the first three weeks alone, we will have been in India, Dominican Republic, Panama, Honduras, Ecuador, Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela. In October and November, our travels will take us to Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East. Admission counselors will be meeting with prospective students, guidance counselors, embassy officials and overseas educational advisors for visits and dinners. We greatly appreciate the support of alumni abroad and all their efforts to connect with us as well as to interact with prospective students. Thank you!
Graduate School Admission
The new McCallum Graduate School class has arrived! After receiving a record number of applications this year, (20 percent greater than 2007,) we are proud to welcome more than 500 new students to the campus. The new group includes a full-time MBA class of 37 international students representing 14 countries Graduate Admissions will continue to focus on recruiting with visits to Geneva, Zurich, Paris, London, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Athens in October and November. Building on success we have had in India this year, it is our goal to meet with as many alumni as possible – undergraduate and graduate alike – to see how best to partner with you to increase the number of new students from around the globe. Prospective students place enormous emphasis on the perspectives of those who have attended the institution they are considering, so your assistance in this effort is most valuable. If you are interested in meeting Graduate Admissions when they are in your area, please contact Assistant Dean and Director of Graduate Admissions Sharon Hill at shill@bentley.edu.
